About JeepClub

JeepClub was founded in 1998 with a clear objective: to provide a way of enjoying Jeep ownership without hassle or complication. There are no elected officials, no committees, and no bureaucracy.

Our focus has always been on encouraging those new to Jeep ownership to learn more about their vehicles, but it doesn't stop there. We're proud to have some of the UK's most experienced off-road Jeep drivers as members and several of our team have clocked up serious mileage exploring some of the finest four-wheeling destinations around the world.

By creating a friendly and informal atmosphere at our events and on our discussion forum - which has the clear aim of providing for a more mature style of discussion - our members are often able to respond with just the right answer. Everyone had to start somewhere, and even our most experienced forum contributors are more than happy to pass on their knowledge to those just starting out in the world of Jeep ownership.

However, we are not exclusively an off-road organisation. Our events are also social in nature, proving that JeepClub is about the people as much as it is about the vehicles. At its heart, JeepClub is a community of individuals with a common interest, so it's not unusual to find members chatting about more than driving.

Our events are organised by the members and, as a result, cover a wide range of interests and skill levels. We promote a safe and responsible attitude to off-road driving, and there's no pressure for members to tackle obstacles they do not feel comfortable with.

We hope JeepClub sounds like the place for you. By the way, did we mention it's free to join now?

Q&A

Does JeepClub have a mission statement?

Yes, and it's read much the same for over a decade.

JeepClub exists to provide opportunities for Jeep vehicle owners to explore the full off-road potential of their vehicles safely, legally, responsibly, and at minimal cost; to encourage Jeep drivers to become more proficient in off-road driving ability; and to foster friendship between Jeep owners through driving, social, and other events.

Do you only allow new Jeep owners to join, then?

Not at all. JeepClub members cover a wide range of skills and abilities, from Rubicon warriors to the showroom fresh. Even the most experienced off-roaders had to start somewhere, and we believe there's much both groups can learn from each other.

Are the events suitable for all skills levels?

There's usually something for everyone at most of our events. Some events may be geared more towards particular skill levels or interests, but these are clearly identified.

I'm not interested in driving off-road; am I still welcome?

Of course. Some of our events are entirely social in nature - from local pub meets, to trips to the beach - and there's still plenty to be gained by being a part of the community.

My Jeep's been modified almost beyond recognition and spends much of its time on its roof. Am I going to feel out of place?

You're much more likely to be admired, particularly if you help others by imparting some of the knowledge you've acquired over the years. We'd love to have you on board.

Who organises the events?

Events are organised by the members themselves. If there's a particular type of event you'd like to see, start a thread about it in the relevant regional section. Once enough members express their interest, the event can go ahead. The cost of the event is spread among those attending, so the more people come along, the cheaper the event becomes.

Who runs JeepClub?

JeepClub is run by two guys: Alex is a freelance journalist and web developer, and was responsible for founding JeepClub back in 1998. Vince is an ex-mechanical engineer who's famous for creating a kaleidoscope of Cherokees, all of which are taller than he is.

Random fact: Alex was Vince's best man when he married Rachel, another JeepClub member, in Moab, Utah. The couple shipped their British Jeeps across the pond to be a part of the ceremony.

Do I need a Jeep to join?

Yes - we are 'JeepClub' after all. However, if you're considering buying a Jeep and would like to talk to a few owners before taking the plunge, you're quite welcome to join us. Did we mention it's free?
