JeepClub Events

JeepClub aim to cater for all levels from the  beginner or 'newbie' in a road standard Jeep to those of great experience with modified vehicles. For the needs of those new to Jeep ownership we can give professional advice, tuition and support. Our events are beginner friendly and even at our rare hardcore off-roading activities or competitions we try to always make provision for 'Newbies'. Although our expertise centres around late-model Jeep vehicles - Wrangler, Cherokee, Grand Cherokee and Commander, we have members with models right back to the original WW2 MB and all are welcome to our events. In fact, you don't even need to own a Jeep to be a JeepClub Member. We promote a safe and responsible attitude to off-road driving and exert no pressure on our members to tackle obstacles they do not feel comfortable with. Help and advice is available at every step and the key to the concept is the informal atmosphere.  As a service to members we also list events from other clubs and organisations.  These may not be suitable for those in unmodified vehicles or with less experience - If anything listed here is not a JeepClub event please check with the organisers to see if it is suitable before booking.

Slab Common, near Bordon in Hampshire, is another army training ground similar to Broxhead Common. Slab Common, the larger of the two sites near Farnham, is used to teach tank recovery techniques and upside-down tanks can often be found around the site. Like Broxhead, Slab is very sandy with plenty of water holes, hills and other man-made obstacles to test your abilities and your vehicle's.
  • Woodlands 4x4 - Sunday 22nd February 2009
Approximately 5 miles south of Brands Hatch, the site is set in 19 acres of dense forest, with views of beautiful countryside. The site comprises a circular scenic route around the perimeter suitable for beginners (white run), with nothing more challenging than a few muddy potholes. From several points around the perimeter, you can watch those testing their skills further on the red runs, designed for the more experienced off-roaders. If you're feeling more daring, you can try one of the black runs, suitable for those with modified vehicles, including the "graveyard" and "bombhole". There will be a Burger Bar on-site and toilets. there's a pub (with toilets!) is at the end of the road.
  • Broxhead Common - Sunday 15th March 2009
Broxhead Common is a large, sandy, MOD training site, with enough variation and challenge to satisfy drivers of all skill levels. The site's sandy and open nature make it an excellent site for newbies to try out their vehicles (and their driving abilities) in safety. However, exploring a little deeper reveals plenty of interesting tracks, gulleys and muddy pools to challenge the more advanced off-roader. This is being run by Howard Lester
